Meet Chef and Chocolatier JuanLou. She grew up in a very small Central Texas town on a six acre farm that never left her heart. She plans to take the “ph” out of pharmaceuticals by giving you good “farm” based food product choices. Trust the farm girl for health considerate “farmaceutical” options. In a Pinch Catering, LLC is her pre-COVID 19 calling to support you in living a healthy life.

She has worked at two of the finest Central Texas resorts since she came to Austin to attend the University of Texas. It is her Alma Mater for her Bachelor’s degree; as well as, Austin Community College where she received her Associates in Culinary Arts and her Associates in Pastry Arts & Baked Goods, which emphasized French Cuisine as a foundation. Her passion is International Cuisine as inspired by her traveling escapades covering the globe in more than 36 countries spanning Eastern, Western, Southern Europe, Northern Africa, South America, and the Middle East.

Post graduation she has become a Certified Personal Chef through the American Culinary Federation and a Certified Chocolatier with advanced training through Ecole Chocolat, a Canadian international training school. Her perspective on food is rooted in the food is medicine concept which is propelled by the functional food movement. Her axiom: “the body intuitively craves ingredients to fight disease to increase quality days of longevity just as much as the eyes crave to be delighted with what is beautiful and enriching. The appetite’s cravings to be satisfied can be accomplished with flavor, variety, and nutrients that support the natural self preservation instinct, care, and growth of your body’s systems”.
